Primary 3 and 4 pupils recently enjoyed an exciting coding workshop with Conor and Luke from the Nerve Centre. During the sessions, they learned how to use Scratch Jr to create and code their own interactive games.
The children developed their understanding of how to make characters move, jump, and speak through coding blocks. They applied these new skills creatively by designing games linked to their World Around Us topic, “It’s a Bug’s Life.”
Their games featured a range of imaginative bug characters, from busy bees to wriggly worms, all brought to life through coding. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were proud of what they achieved.
