Primary 3/4 have been having a fantastic time in Literacy while exploring The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch. The story has inspired lots of exciting learning across the curriculum!
The children loved designing and making their own baskets to send down a “lighthouse wire,” just like in the story. They became young scientists as they investigated whether the baskets travelled faster or slower depending on what was inside, making predictions and testing their ideas.
Creativity was also flowing in art lessons. Primary 3/4 explored different textures and experimented with watercolour techniques to create stunning lighthouse artwork. The finished pieces are bright, imaginative and full of detail!
It has been wonderful to see such enthusiasm, teamwork and creativity as the children brought The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch to life through their learning.
