We were delighted to enjoy a wonderful Sports Day today, and for once the weather was on our side! The skies were a bit grey, and it was threatening rain, but it managed to hold off for just long enough for our children to get outside, have fun and show off their sporting skills.
Children from across the school took part in a variety of exciting events, including obstacle races, balance races, sack races, throw the welly competitions and traditional flat races. There was plenty of enthusiasm, determination and laughter throughout the day as pupils cheered one another on and gave every event their best effort.
We were particularly proud of how well behaved all of the children were. They demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, encouraged their classmates and represented our school values brilliantly throughout the day.
A huge thank you goes to our staff for helping to organise such a successful event and to everyone who came along to support the children. Most importantly, well done to all of our pupils for making the day so enjoyable.
We are now looking forward to celebrating the children's achievements and presenting our Sports Day certificates on Friday.
