We had a fantastic time at the Mini Matsuri at the Playtrail today! The morning began with a warm welcome, followed by opening introductions that set the tone for a fun cultural experience.
The children loved the traditional Japanese storytelling by Masako Carey, sitting quietly and completely engaged. The energy then lifted with an exciting Taiko drumming performance by San Jose Taiko, which was a real highlight.
Everyone joined in for the Bon Odori dance, bringing lots of smiles and laughter as we learned the Tanko Bushi together. To finish, each child received a small gift bag with treats and origami.
It was a joyful and memorable morning for all!
