Nursery children all settled back into Nursery after an extended snowy break at the beginning of Term 2. The weather fitted well into our Winter theme as we began to explore lots of activities relating to cold weather. In our creative area we made penguins using different shapes and made temporary snowmen with a variety of loose parts. We used bottles to paint snowballs and used lollipop sticks to make snowflakes. There were lots of opportunities to explore play with arctic animals, and we tried to build igloos using sugar cubes, as well as catching fish with magnets to feed the penguins, alongside lots of other fun activities.
