April in Nursery

23rd Apr 2026
Since returning after the Easter holidays, we have had a busy and engaging time in Nursery, with lots of opportunities for learning through play.
The children have been developing their fine motor skills by threading shapes to make necklaces and completing 24-piece puzzles independently.  They have enjoyed imaginative play in our flower shop and with farm animals, helping to build their creativity and language skills.
We have participated in 2 Jo Jingles sessions with Stephanie so far and the children are showing great enjoyment as they explore music and movement.  Our planting activities in the sand tray and flower picture creations have encouraged an interest in the natural world.
We have also introduced a new calm corner which has become a popular area with a large number of children.  This is a space where children can take time out of the noisy nursery environment to relax and regulate their emotions.  Our circle time last week focused on emotions and the children are now exploring different emotions in their play.
