We are just one week away from our very own 'Eat Smart Week with the Lunch Bunch'. Coming to primary schools throughout Northern Ireland, 'Eat Smart Week' is a special theme week designed to promote healthy eating in a fun, engaging way, inspiring children to explore new foods and make positive choices at lunchtime, with the help of our cheerful Lunch Bunch characters.
Food awareness and food education are important to our catering service, who work alongside colleagues in the Public Health Agency, Department of Agriculture, Environment & Rural Affairs (DAERA) and the Department of Education as part of the 'Food in Schools Forum'.
Eat Smart Week is an initiative that has grown from our work as members of the forum, and we are excited to see children have the opportunity to try new foods and learn about the benefits of a nutritious diet.
The menu below will run for 1 week, September 29th - October 3rd. Nursery and Primary 1/2 will be sent a menu home to make choices. Please remember we are closed on Monday, 29th September for a Staff Development Day.
